Born in Detroit, Chris Calleja wasn’t raised in a musical family. After college, he spent the next few years learning carpentry and traveling whenever he could. Upon moving to Nashville in 2003, Chris learned to play guitar and eventually started writing songs. During that time, he recorded dozens of original compositions with several songs reaching the charts of regional college radio. After securing an investment deal which allowed him to pursue music full-time, Chris began playing cover gigs all across the country, in which he would play his original material and covers equally. These days, Chris is a full time working musician who performs a repertoire from the Beatles and James Taylor, to Springsteen and Tom Petty… You can catch him performing almost anywhere in Michigan, year round.
